Benjamin was born in Sudbury, Ontario and shortly afterward his family moved to Kelowna where he had the pleasure of enjoying all the Okanagan Valley had to offer before starting University.
Benjamin made the trip back to Ontario for his university studies, first completing his Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Windsor in 2009 and returning later that same year to start law school. During his time in Windsor Benjamin fostered his passion for acting and was involved in several community productions. Also, while in law school Benjamin volunteered for the legal aid clinic as well as local lawyers in the areas of criminal law and wills and estates. Following his call to the Ontario Bar in 2013 Benjamin moved to Welland to take over a retiring solicitor’s practice, but the itch to return home was too strong. He moved back to Vancouver in late 2015 to be closer to family (and the mountains) and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2016. After three years of regular ferry trips to Victoria to visit family, he fell in love with the city and decided it was time to live on the island full time.
Benjamin practices as a general solicitor with an emphasis on the areas of real estate and wills and estates. He truly enjoys working one on one with his clients to provide practical solutions to their questions. His approachable demeanour and attentiveness to his client’s needs not only allows Benjamin to work cooperatively with both his clients and third parties, but also ensures a timely and positive conclusion on the matters he is involved with.
When not in the office Benjamin is typically following his three main passions: Crossfit, experimenting in the kitchen, and discovering some of the many local delicacies Victoria has to offer (mainly in the form of microbreweries and coffee roasters). He also has a pretty extensive vinyl record collection and is constantly looking for new additions.
